Tender description

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) has responsibility for food, farming, and environmental policy and the development of the rural sector. DARD provides a veterinary service with administration of animal health and welfare. It is the vision of Veterinary Service to enable the production of the safest food from the healthiest animals in Europe. DARD Veterinary Service mission is to ensure that animal health and welfare policies are delivered and enforced effectively in order to safeguard public and animal health along with animal welfare. DARD is seeking to establish a framework agreement of suitable contractors to supply and deliver testing kits for blood sampling of cattle for brucellosis in Northern Ireland. Brucellosis is a significant zoonotic disease in Northern Ireland and testing is a statutory requirement. For this agreement DARD will appoint a maximum of three Contractors ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd after formal tender evaluation, in line with the criteria stipulated within the Instructions to Tenderers document.
