Grounds maintenance services

Tender description

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive wishes to procure suitably qualified and competent contractors to provide a comprehensive grounds and tree maintenance service and associated works throughout Northern Ireland. The Services will be carried out in accordance with a planned programme for grounds and tree maintenance. The service will occur in or around occupied premises and in some cases in and around dwellings occupied by persons with disabilities and special needs. The services will mainly be carried out during Normal Working Hours, but at times requested by the Housing Executive, successful contractor(s) may be required to carry out works outside these times. Also in exceptional circumstances or emergency situations the Contracting Authority may require the provision of unplanned grounds and tree maintenance services. The Service Providers will be responsible for the full provision of the Services by its Team. The Northern Ireland Housing Executive intends to award 6 Lot Contracts, to a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6 Economic Operators, for the provision of the services and associated works. The Lot Contracts will be for a period of 4 years from the date of commencement with options, at the discretion of the Housing Executive, to extend each Lot Contract for 2 further periods each of 24 months or part thereof. i.e. a maximum of 8 years. A Tenderer may be awarded 1, some or all of the Lot Contracts. The successful Tenderer(s) appointed to provide Services will enter into a Contract for each Lot with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
