External Banners and Masts for the Atkinson in Southport

The Atkinson in Southport requires the procurement and installation of two external banners to act as wayfinding signage and to help raise its brand awareness for visitors and audiences. The multi art-form venue is a regional cultural hub situated on Lord Street, delivering lots of daytime activities and nighttime performances for the borough.The external banners will give the venue much needed signage and act as a focal point to bring prople into the venue. The banners will be designed and need to be changed regularly – depending on the lead festival or exhibition at that time. We would be open to different designs for the banners as options to be submitted, but the below is the basis specification we are looking for. Lord Street is a particularly windy part of town, we need to guarantee that the banners we have on display are of good quality and will not cause any undo health and safety problems. The Specification: • Banner Post - galvansied steel banner post with double sided arms. Size metre high powder coated RAL7039 • Excavate site and cast a concrete bases suitable for the above • Banner posts including steel grillage and anchor bolts. • 2 LED Floodlights from banner arms, to illuminate banner • 2x Banner print • Delivery to site and installation on to pre cast base The banners can not be attached to the building so we are investigating the option of having them placed outside in the garden area. They mist be able to be seen so we are looking ta 7ft. The final banners chosen will need to be signed off by the Council’s Hertage Officer.
