Erewash Borough Council EBCQ 16-045 Provision of a commercial brake tester/rolling road and ongoing maintenance and servicing

Tender description

Quotations are sought for the provision of a replacement commercial brake tester/rolling road with ongoing servicing and maintenance for the lifetime of the equipment, anticipated to be around a period of 10 years. The Council operates a fleet of twenty heavy goods vehicles (HGV’s) and 36 light goods vehicles (LGV’s). In 2004 the council transferred its operational services to a purpose built facility in Ilkeston, Nottinghamshire. The existing brake tester/rolling road has been installed in the middle lane of the workshop floor and has been in service to date. This equipment is used for the Council fleet only, vehicles range from small LGV’s up to 26 tonne refuse freighters with over 150 brake tests required per annum. As well as the brake testing the rolling road is also used to calibrate the on board weighing systems on the LGV fleet. The deadline for completed quotations is 12:00 on Friday 3rd June 2016.
