Tender description

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (The Contracting Authority) has awarded a contract from a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for Textiles Recycling as detailed in the Contract documents and upon the terms and conditions contained in the Conditions of Contract. The Contract Authority has tendered on behalf of the South Wales Waste Management Group (SWWMG). The fundamental purpose of the contract is to provide a reliable, effective and satisfactory service for the contract period in order to maximise the recycling of textiles from the Individual Authorities recycling centres. The successful contractor will be required to provide suitable textile collection banks, sited at various locations within the boundaries of the member authorities and provide a collection service at the required frequencies stated in the contract documents.
