PROVISION OF DAYTIME SUPPORT FOR ADULTS WITH SOCIAL CARE NEEDS ? INCLUSION ON A LIST OF APPROVED DAY SERVICES

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is committed to the provision of high quality services to enable people to live in their own homes. We are looking to refresh the list of approved services to: Provide daytime support/activities for people who are eligible for publically funded care and support. This includes older people and people with learning disabilities we will be looking for providers who are able to offer a more generic approach. The rate will be up to a maximum of £30.60 per person per day. Providers may wish to submit a price lower than this. Tameside MBC will not be providing buildings from which these services will operate. Providers will need to consider this along with transport during the day. The aim is for service users to experience inclusion, choice and control in their day time activities. There will not be a guaranteed number of placements but commissioners, care co-ordinators and service users will have access to the list of approved day services from which to choose.
