Tender description

The House of Lords and the House of Commons (collectively ‘the Authority’) both have a requirement for the delivery of daily and weekly national, regional and international newspapers and selected periodicals. In addition, third party users on the Estate may make direct individual arrangements for the supply of newspapers. Each House has several departments which require newspapers, including: — The Libraries, who require newspapers for reference purposes and for customers to read in the reading rooms, also for research purposes and current awareness; — Offices supporting business for each Chamber; — Facilities services, who provide newspapers for customers to read in various outlets. The Authority is seeking to re-let its existing contract for the supply of papers to the parliamentary estate under a 3 year contract with 2 possible 12 month extension periods. The contract value has been estimated over the entire 5 year term and is approximately 600 000 GBP.
