Tender description

Sunderland City Council owns 2 oil filled transformers that are sited within Northern Powergrid substations; Northern Powergrid is the licenced Distribution Network Operator for the north of England. The oils within the transformers has become contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCPs), a hazardous material, and following notification to The Environment Agency, the Council has been given notice that the contaminated oil needs to be remove and replace with clean oil within a month.
