Tender description

Design, manufacture and installation of Modular Active Effluent Treatment Plants at Chapelcross Site, Dungeness Site, Oldbury Site, Sizewell A Site, Berkeley Site and Hinkley Point A Site. There is a requirement to treat the Radioactive Aqueous Effluent generated on 4 of the Magnox Sites: Chapelcross Site, Dungeness Site, Oldbury Site and Hinkley Point A Site. There may be a further requirement at Berkeley Site and Sizewell A Site in the future. A Modular Active Effluent Treatment Plant (MAETP) shall abate active effluent to a level that enables each of the 4 sites to discharge effluent off-site in accordance with the applicable environmental permits/authorisations. This requirement is for the design of a generic MAETP which is scalable to meet the requirements of each site. The scope also includes the supply of a MAETP for each site and include the off-site manufacture, and then installation and inactive commissioning of the plants on each site.
