Tender description

SUPC would like to draw attention to a programme of procurement exercises that SUPC intends to undertake in the next few years. All Invitations to Tender within the programme will be subject to separate Contract Notices, and it is these Notices which potential tenderers will need to respond to at the appropriate time. Precise quantities are unknown, and each Institution undertaking research work in Life Sciences will have their own unique product specifications and service requirements. It will be up to the successful suppliers to define this with individuals, research group leaders, departments and institutions. 2014-15 expenditure across the Life Science areas (excluding equipment) is estimated at 150 000 000 GBP annually, across more than 250 companies. However, this is only an estimation and the value of purchases made under each Framework will depend on Institutions taking up the Frameworks and on suppliers promoting and adhering to the terms of their contracts. Each Framework Agreement awarded within this programme will be expected to last up to 4 years and re-tendered after that. The estimated value of any Framework Agreement during the 4 years is between 10 000 000 GBP-80 000 000 GBP although no expenditure on any Framework Agreement is guaranteed.
