Installation of a 498Kw or 996kW Pellet Fuelled Biomass Boiler at the Beecroft Gallery, Southend on Sea

Tender description

Southend Borough Council requires a suitably qualified contractor to install either a 498Kw or 996Kw Biomass pellet boiler to serve the Beecroft Gallery and Central Museum via a mini district heating system which will be incorporated within this project. The works will include: 1. The supply and installation of a pellet fueled biomass boiler housed within two hi-cube steel containers. The lower container will house the boiler plant and the Pellet store will be stacked on top. 2. Two options will be priced: a. A 498Kw biomass system housed within the bottom container b. A 996Kw biomass system housed within the bottom container Comprehensive drawings and a specification will be issued to contractors who express an interest and the works will be carried out under a JCT Contract. The tenders will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 60% for price and 40% for quality. Please submit your request to tender no later than 12 noon on 9th May 2016.
