Tender description

This is a notice for social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council Article 74. The London Borough of Hounslow is recommissioning its existing floating support, advocacy and carers' short break services. The aim is to introduce a high-quality integrated support service to improve the quality of life for vulnerable people living in the borough through the delivery of personalised preventative support services. The service will predominately cover the following elements: (i) Delivering person centred support: by providing practical support, giving vulnerable people and carers the opportunity to stabilise their lives and remain independent. (ii) Providing advocacy support for people specific to the Care Act 2014: through speaking up for, or acting on behalf of, themselves. (iii) Supplying carers' short breaks: by allowing carers to have a life of their own alongside their caring role. The Authority would like to invite a qualified and experienced provider to bid for the integrated support service as a single provider. The contract will be for an initial period of 4 years commencing in January 2017 with an option of a further 3 years, in 12-month periods, at the sole discretion of the Authority.
