Tender description

TfGM is looking to award a contract for replacement of the existing level crossing at Hagside with a barrier controlled protection system. This will include, design, install, test and commission of solution for new crossing system to include the replacement of equipment, signage, road improvements and interface to TMS, site clearance and decommission of existing equipment. Hagside level crossing is located between Bury and Radcliffe where Hinds Lane and Warth Fold Road meet to cross the Metrolink Bury tramline. This replacement is to ensure that the safety level for users of the crossing is maintained and in line with legislative and best practice industry requirements and also demonstrate a Case for Safety to the Office of Rail and Road (ORR).
