Summary of the work CWGC is looking for an established website company with experience in the creation and design of websites to partner with us to create a dynamic and flexible website that will provide a wider user journey and lead users to discover more about The CWGC and our work around the world. Latest start date 17/06/2016 Budget Range Budget for contracts 1 and 2 will be in the range of £100,000 to £200,000. Service contract for technical support will be negotiable Why the Work is Being Done The CWGC is looking for an established website company with experience in the creation and design of websites to partner with us to create a dynamic and flexible website that will provide a wider user journey and lead users to discover more about The CWGC and our work around the world. We are looking to partner with a company whose main business is the creation and delivery of websites. The website is to be completed by Friday 9th September 2016. Problem to Be Solved The current CWGC website. www.cwgc.org is no longer fit for purpose. Who Are the Users The general public need to be able to find information easily on the website. As the web team we need to have a CMS that is universal and flexible enough to meet our needs, with Sitecore being the preference. Existing Team You will be working with CWGC team and other third parties Current Phase Not started Skills & Experience • Expertise of creating and working with websites, this must be a core function of the future contractors business • Advance knowledge of web maintenance • Project manager with at least 5 years’ experience in project managing website builds • Ability to troubleshoot and present realistic solutions to any issues • It would also be advantageous if the future contractor is to be a current Sitecore Partner Nice to Haves • Must be available for immediate start • Evidence of delivering to timescale Work Location CWGC, 2 Marlow Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 7DX, Working Arrangments Tenderers should note that the working language at the CWGC is English and therefore all documentation and communication should be in English. Most of the work will take place at the future contractors’ own premises. The future contractor will need to be available to work at CWGC Head Office in Maidenhead at CWGC’s request. The cost of attending any meeting or performing tasks on CWGC premises shall be borne exclusively by the future contractor. The future contractor will submit regular reports to CWGC regarding the status of the project, including completed tasks, outstanding tasks, issues arising and costs to date. Additional T&Cs The legal structure for the service shall based on three contracts: 1. Initial contract for the concept design including technical and functional specifications and code. 2. Second contract for the build and implementation of the website. Contracts 1 and 2 will set out the services to be provided, delivery timelines, payment procedure, dispute resolution, termination, and intellectual property considerations. 3. Service contract for technical support provided after the website is commissioned, security, the level of service, maintenance updates, cost of additional development work, the dispute procedure, termination procedure and intellectual property considerations. All contracts shall be subject to English law. Is Sitecore the only CMS you would consider. Would Drupal or Wordpress be considered We would not consider Drupal or Wordpress, the preference is Sitecore. 2. Please advise if Sitecore is a mandatory requirement or whether you would consider an alternative CMS We would consider other CMS options which are similar to Sitecore.This will be open to discussion with the view of providing the best solution to meet our requirements. 3. Would you consider a custom Rails CMS We would not consider custom CMS, the CMS must be universally used. 4. Does the budget of £100,000 - £200,000 need to include the CMS software licence or is this being budgeted for separately? The CMS software licence will be included within the cost. 5. What is your current CMS Platform? Our current CMS platform is Umbraco 6. Would you consider a joint application bid for this contract. All Joint bids will be consider that can demonstrate a good working relationship. 7. Amendment to CMS software licence being included in the cost or is this being budgeted for separately. The costs of software licenses are not in scope of this frameworkPlease can you provide indicative cost of licences at this stage as should not be included as part of your tender response. 8. Please can you advise if the contract is broken down into three separate parts.
