Tender description

The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs wishes to let a contract on behalf of Central Government and Scottish Government, Welsh Government (WG) and Department of the Environment in Northern Ireland (DOENI), collectively known as the Devolved Administrations (DAs). DEFRA is the acting Authority and is looking for a supplier for the Data Dissemination Unit. The contract is for the provision of services to collate and disseminate information and data about air pollution in the UK on behalf of the Authority, and ensure that the UK meets the statutory public information requirements under European Directive 2008/05/EC and the 4th Daughter Directive (2004/107/EC). The Authority invites tendering companies to offer to provide DDU services for two (2) Lots. — Lot 1 Statutory and Formal Reporting; — Lot 2 has two programmes of work and the supplier must be able to deliver BOTH programmes: 1) Database Management and 2) Web Based Services. Each Lot will be awarded as a separate contract which will run for 3 years with an option to extend for up to 2 years — unless one bidder is successful in both lots, in which case, the Authority may choose to award a single contract covering both lots.
