Tender description

The framework contract will be divided into 2 lots. Lot 1 will establish databases of tree surgery contractors that have been appointed to the framework. Separate databases will be maintained for each District / City Council area within Devon County Council (8 in total) and within each of those areas for both Highways and/or Non Highways work. Lot 2 will establish databases of tree inspection contractors that have been appointed to the framework Separate databases will be maintained for each District / City Council area within Devon County Council (8 in total) and within each of those areas for both Highways and/or Non Highways work. Tree inspection contractors will be required to survey trees, on premises, along lengths of highway, or individually to identify safety hazards and recommend remedial actions in line with BS3998 or equivalent. Their recommendations will then be used by premises or highways managers to engage tree surgery contractors from the framework to carry out the remedial works identified. Summary of requirements: To carry out tree surgery operations in accordance with current best practice health and safety procedures and BS3998 or equivalent on highway and/or non-highways sites. Summary of requirements: To provide tree inspection services by way of a visual assessment and detailed reports as necessary. To recommend set specified surgery operations, on highway and/or non-highway trees, in accordance with current best practice health and safety procedures and BS3998 or equivalent.
