Tender description

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is committed to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions from its ongoing day to day operations throughout the Council area. To this end the Council has installed a woodchip fuelled boiler at Carrickfergus Amphitheatre, Prince William Way, Carrickfergus, BT38 7HP. It is a Froling 110kWth woodchip boiler. 1.02 To offer better value for money and improved operational performance of these installations the Council is now seeking prices for the supply of wood chip to the boiler and ongoing maintenance of the boiler as detailed in the attached fuel and maintenance specifications. This contract will be for a period of 1 year with the option to extend by one year. The price for this service will be based on a £/kWh of heat measured by the heat meters already installed on the boiler and invoiced monthly in arrears.
