Tender description

Hamilton academy is a self-governing primary day school for children aged 4 to 11+ — Hamilton also has a nursery for 3-4 year olds. The school is based across 2 sites and was officially formed in 1974 when the ‘new’ building was opened in Hampden road. It evolved from the old priory road school, which was 1 of the first board schools to be built after the 1870 education act. The original building is still in use. The school became a foundation school on 1.9.1999 and gained academy status on 1.4.2012.
