‘The National Composite Centre (NCC) in collaboration with a major aerospace manufacturer is developing a high rate manufacturing process for a part that manufactured using composite materials and the resin infusion process. The NCC requires a tooling suite that is capable of supporting the processing of fibre reinforced polymer composite components in order to demonstrate the manufacturing process on a representative demonstrator part. This Invitation To Tender is for the design and manufacture of the tooling suite for the manufacturing demonstrator. The project provides the opportunity to develop a tooling suite that can demonstrate high rate production and can exhibit novel concepts in both design and material use. This project will give the suppliers the ability to showcase their expertise and capabilities to both the NCC and the major aerospace manufacturer.’ Due to the confidential nature of the procurement all suppliers must download the NDA sign and return it to the NCC. At this point the NCC will then release the tender documents.
