Lift Servicing and Maintenance

Tender description

Tenders are invited for the supply of the Fully Comprehensive Maintenance and Inspection of Lifts within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council buildings. Background Mid and East Antrim Borough Council (MEA) comprises the areas of Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne. This contract will be managed by the Assets and Facilities Maintenance within MEA, which is responsible for the asset management and maintenance of the buildings that fall under MEA’s remit. The current building list relating to this contract is in Appendix A of this document, but this is subject to change, the successful tenderer will be notified of any changes. Specification 1. The contractor will be required provide a fully comprehensive maintenance and inspection as required by the BS EN 130 15:2001 + A1:2008 current editions and should include the following. • 1 routine maintenance visit every 3 Months; • 24-hour 365 days a year emergency call out rescues onsite within 1 hour; • Breakdown callout visits as per section 10 of specification; • All attendances required for or as a result of, statutory thorough examinations; • The carrying out of rectifications resulting from supplementary tests; • All consumable materials; • All repairs/replacements, including re-roping. • Remote Lift monitoring by the Contractor to be included in the price. It does not include: • The carrying out of any supplementary tests required; • The total replacement of control panels. • Replacement or modernisation of equipment which of the opinion of the contractor has become obsolete. • Any work or replacement of parts due to changes in relevant legislation. • Equipment damaged by Vandalism or inappropriate use. For purposes of clarification, the replacement of ALL other components is included in the fully comprehensive contracts. This includes all car and shaft lighting, motors and gear-boxes.
