Tender description
The Mental Health Strategy for Jersey launched in 2015 sets out 5 key priorities, 1 of which is Quality Improvement and Innovation. The outputs identified in this area are to produce and publish a set of measures for the public that describe both the performance and the quality of our mental health system. In common with other jurisdictions, Jersey faces significant challenges in ensuring the availability of high quality mental health and social care services within a financially affordable sum. There are also some unique challenges, for example workforce pressures, limited services in the community, clinical viability and cost pressures due to dis-economies of scale. The Mental Health Strategy for Jersey launched in 2015 sets out 5 key priorities, 1 of which is Quality Improvement and Innovation. The outputs identified in this area are to produce and publish a set of measures for the public that describe both the performance and the quality of our mental health system. Quality is a measure of whether services increase the chance of better mental health for the individual. It also refers to how close the service is to the standards recommended by international experts. This places an emphasis on services to produce information about how they are making a difference to patients' mental health, as well as making the best use of current research and new ways of working. The purpose of the project is to identify appropriate standards and to develop a methodology to measure achievements against those standards. If your organisation is experienced in undertaking such strategic activity then HSSD invites your expression of interest.
