Employee Support Service

Tender description

An Employee support and referral service is required for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. This services will complement the Employee Assistance Service provided on 9-5pm Irish Time basis to staff at present and will provide a specialist confidential advice, referral and support service for the Department’s staff on a 24/7 basis. The service will be provided to all Departmental staff and their families who are assigned from HQ in Ireland to locations abroad and in Northern Ireland, and also to a number of locally-employed staff in locations where there is a heavy consular workload. (Madrid, Canberra, Sydney, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok). Provision will exist to temporarily extend support to locally-employed staff in other locations or to HQ staff involved in consular emergencies by agreement between the Department and the Contractor. The service must provide welfare advice on a range of personal issues, including but not limited to critical incident and trauma, health, relationships, addictions, financial, bereavement, and stress. The service will provide for a staged approach to intervention, depending on severity and manifestations.
