Tender description

The Professional Services Framework is required in order to ensure that the delivery of the Council's capital programme of major construction projects continues to be supported by suitably qualified and experienced independent professionals. These disciplines are required to provide a range of key services, most notably: Professional opinion and technical construction advice; Cost control (quantity surveying) services; Contract administration; Clerk of Works (quality control and monitoring of construction work on site); Building surveying and Mechanical and Electrical services; and Statutory Health and Safety construction management and planning to enable the council to comply with its obligations under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The engagement of suitably experienced and qualified Cost Consultants to support the planning, construction and delivery of construction projects, including the provision of formal contract administration and works valuation as a stand alone service where required. The engagement of suitably qualified building surveying and mechanical and electrical services to support the diagnosis of building issues, project planning and delivery of capital maintenance projects. The engagement of suitably qualified clerks of works to support the diagnosis of building issues, project planning and delivery of capital maintenance projects. The engagement of suitably qualified Construction, Design and Management consultants to support the diagnosis of building issues, project planning and delivery of capital maintenance projects. The engagement of suitably experienced and qualified Project Managers and Cost Consultants to support the planning, construction and delivery of construction projects, including the provision of formal contract administration and works valuation as an integrated Service.
