Tender description

The Provision of Equine Veterinary Services to HRI'S Racecourses: HRI Racecourses Ltd (the ‘Contracting Authority’) intends to appoint suitably qualified equine veterinary professionals to provide equine cover on the track and in the stable yard at its racecourses. This requirement for equine veterinary services has been split into 4 lots: Lot 1: Leopardstown Racecourse (The Leopardstown Club Ltd). Leopardstown Racecourse is located 6 miles due south of Dublin City Centre. It stages approximately 23 race meetings throughout the year, including the Christmas Festival, the Hennessy Gold Cup, the Irish Champion Stakes and a series of evening meetings throughout the summer months. Lot 2: Fairyhouse Racecourse (Fairyhouse Club Ltd). Fairyhouse Racecourse is located outside Ratoath, Co. Meath, 13 miles from Dublin and 10 minutes from Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. It is home of the Ladbrokes Irish Grand National and has attendances of up to 75 000 per annum. Lot 3: Navan Racecourse (Navan Races Ltd). Navan Racecourse is located just outside Navan Town, Co. Meath and hosts a number of highly prestigious race meetings each year. Lot 4: Tipperary Racecourse (The Tipperary Race Company Plc). Tipperary Racecourse is located on the main Limerick to Waterford road (N24), approximately 2 miles from Tipperary town. High profile events include the Abergwaun Stakes and the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fairy Bridge Stakes. For the avoidance of doubt, each lot will be treated as a separate competition.
