First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) are looking to procure a supplier/suppliers for the following services: Lot 1 — Skips hire; Lot 2 — Waste disposal (tipping); Lot 3 — Skip hire and green waste disposal. Bidders are not restricted to the number of lots that they wish to submit a tender response for. ‘Under the contract the contractor and its supply chain will be required to actively participate in the achievement of social objectives relating to employment, (skills development and training) initiatives. Accordingly the contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social considerations. Further details of any such conditions will be included in the contract documents‘. FCHO currently have 1 site that holds permanent skips to enable building waste generated by the Property Care Teams through processes such as day-to-day repairs and property cleansing to be disposed of. When a property becomes void or requires repairs or cleansing, building waste and household waste is generated. At present, FCHO have an in-house service that follows the teams and collects the building waste to enable a fast turnaround of Void Properties or Operatives will remove small amounts of waste in their vehicle. Please refer to the table below for details on the current number of lifts per annum for periodic skips. Please note that this is an indication of FCHO's past requirements and are subject to change. FCHO requires the ability to tip various goods, including: building waste, bulky household waste (furniture, etc.), items ‘dumped’ on FCHO property, food waste, fridges / freezers, asbestos waste, tyres, mattresses and WEEE and any other hazardous waste including clinical waste consisting of but not limited to needles, human waste and animal waste together with treatment and disposal of all urban solid-refuse and waste as appropriate. FCHO need to be able to attend the tipping site and tip the waste as quickly as possible to ensure that downtime is kept to an absolute minimum. The proximity of the waste disposal is also important to ensure there is not excessive travel time. As part of the pricing document, the postcode of the proposed waste site is to be provided and this will be used to calculate the proposed mileage from First Choice Homes Oldham Head Office in Union St Oldham.
