HBC - Redevelopment of Oakridge Depot

Hertsmere Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) is conducting a competitive dialogue process to appoint a Contractor to develop and operate the former depot in Oakridge Lane, Aldenham, Watford, WD25 8AX The Council is flexible in terms of how the facility is provided, and is actively seeking a partner business to deliver this project. The constraints of the sites are shown in the enclosed red line drawings. The Council will enter into a lease and management agreement with the successful Contractor under which key project deliverables will include: • A waste industry related development which is commensurate to the existing com-mercial and industrial neighbouring businesses, examples would be a o A pre - sort and bulking facility for dry recyclables o A depot for the storage of refuse collection type vehicles o A small materials recyclamation ( 30,000 tonne) facility • A long term (20-25yr) agreement The critical success factors of the project are: 1) The commissioning of a waste industry related facility on the site. 2) The execution of a long term lease. 3) Development completed in a timely manner and conscious of neighbouring business & local residents
