First Wessex - Tree Surveys and Works

First Wessex invites you to tender for a Contract for the provision of Tree Surveys & Works. First Wessex has an opportunity to pro-actively inspect our communal trees, to establish the condition of the trees in relation to public access and targets - such as a property or road. It may be that some trees require removal; if defects, encroachments or obstructions exist, remedial work will be required. In order for us to determine which trees require removal or remedial works, we need to have them inspected. To help us achieve this, we have specified that communal trees will be inspected by an expert independent tree surveyor, as part of a communal tree survey & works contract. We have approximately 4,277 individual trees and 2029 trees in groups. Prior to submitting the tender, the Surveyor shall visit each geographical area to survey its surroundings in order to understand the nature of the land and assets, tree density, distribution and quantities. The Surveyor shall also fully understand the nature of the work, means of access and shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect the tender.
