Tender description

The aim of the intended service is to provide a programme of targeted, evidence based, HIV prevention and sexual health promotion to meet the needs of gay and other men who have sex with men (MSM) and black African communities in Brighton and Hove. The service will use a range of methodologies to achieve a number of outcomes and service objectives including a reduction in the transmission of HIV infection and rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The service provider is to be the lead agency for HIV prevention and sexual health promotion and support services as part of an integrated network for sexual health improvement across Brighton and Hove. The service will also provide a comprehensive, accessible and needs led community support service for all people living with HIV in Brighton and Hove to enable those with HIV to lead productive and fulfilling lives and manage their condition accordingly, and to promote self-management to improve the physical and emotional health and well-being of people living with HIV and reduce onward transmission. This will include social care support, a counselling service and money and welfare rights advice. This notice is also being used as a call for competition in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council Article 48(2).
