Lancashire County Council (LCC) is seeking the views of external organisations on options for the future development, delivery and structure of its waste management assets and processes. This will assist LCC on reviewing the potential for LCC to: — Maximise the economic value from its investment in its waste management assets; and — Meet recycling and waste management requirements in the most economically efficient manner. LCC does not have any pre-determined outcome and is open to all options coming forward at the current time including opportunities addressing future development, delivery and structure. This may include use of the existing sites, existing processing technology or alternative sites/ processing technology. Important information is available on LCC's eTendering portal. You can register and access the portal via the following link: http://www3.lancashire.gov.uk/corporate/web/?siteid=6864&pageid=41137&e=e The purpose of this soft market testing exercise is primarily to initiate a dialogue with a wide range of external organisations around: — Opportunities for maximise the economic value of LCC's investment in the waste management assets; and — Opportunities for delivering recycling and waste management requirements in the most economically efficient manner. This may include utilisation of the existing facilities, alteration to the processes conducted at these sites and or use of alternative facilities, and or new processes and technologies in order to enable LCC to maximise efficiencies in the processing of waste to provide higher recycling rates and lower processing costs. LCC will consider all responses and information may be used to scope the future strategy of the waste management services.
