Tender description

DRD TNI is seeking an experienced and UKPMS accredited contractor to provide SCANNER surveys on all Motorways, Trunk, non-Trunk A Class (excluding the DBFO maintained network) and B and C Class roads throughout Northern Ireland. This will consist of: — 100 percent of Motorways, Trunk, non-Trunk A Class (excluding the DBFO maintained network) surveyed in 1 direction each year; — 25 percent of B and C Class roads surveyed in both directions each year; — Potentially 25 percent of the U Class network to be surveyed annually in 1 direction. (It is proposed to include this as a provisional item as it is proposed to move from CVI to SCANNER surveys on the U Class roads in the near future). The contractor would also be responsible for processing data in accordance with the UK Roads Board User Guide and Specifications for SCANNER Surveys and provision of the data in the required format (usually HMDIF). The data would be required to be fitted to the existing road network for loading onto the TNI PMS without any further manipulation by TNI, a third party or by the successful contractor at additional cost. The contract will include for the provision of independent audit checks and assurance as to the accuracy of results.
