Tender description
The Port of Ayr in Scotland requires a new pilot vessel with a draft of approximately 12 m. The vessel is to be of all steel construction of deep V semi-displacement mono hull form. The main operation of the vessel will be for pilot duties but additional activities will include light tug duties, rescue/recovery tasks and occasional survey work. The vessel should have an operational speed of 10-12 knots and bollard pull of a minimum of 5 t. A more detailed specification will be included in the tender package. Associated British Ports may purchase additional vessels of a similar specification during the life of the framework.
