Tender description

The purchase of 12 trolleys to improve the safety and efficiency of Network Rail Technical staff activities, such as: — Removing the need for staff to access any track other than the track on which the device is positioned; — Increasing efficiency of track surveyors and compare with existing topographical techniques in reduced access time required to undertake surveys; — Reducing the chance of human error; — Producing accurate front offset files to absolute and relative control; — Providing tools to assist the operator in determining the quality of the surveyed track, referenced to Network Rail Standards defining track opening speeds; — Reducing the cost of survey activities; — Improving the quality of survey activities by means of automation; — Eliminating any line of sight issues between instruments.
