Tender description

The contract award follows a call off procedure under the Department of Work and Pensions Call Centre Services Framework, for which a mini competition process was followed. The service being competed for under this call off procedure encompassed the following: 1.1. The provider must implement and manage a contact centre solution capable of handling both Inbound and Out-bound Contacts in order to deliver the Defence Solicitor Contact Centre, thereby helping to meet the statutory duty to facilitate access to justice as defined in the Legal Aid Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 and comply with UK obligations under Article 6 (3) of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) by: a) Logging Defence Requests; b) Identifying the most appropriate Deployment Option; and c) Where required making Deployment Request(s) to the appropriate Defence Practitioner and ensuring that the case is Deployed.
