Tender description

Laboratory and Health related Services- Including Medical/Clinical Laboratory; other Laboratory Services; and wider clinical disciplines (eg. Theatres and Surgical services etc.) along with wider Social health (including public health). Laboratory Services-Medical/Clinical Laboratory; other Laboratory Services. Provision of Managed Service Contract where a chosen provider will cover range of activities. Laboratory service will cover medical, clinical and Technical, Social, Food and Water Environment and Scientific services. The procurement includes the necessity to manage the financial, transitional and operational needs of the service. For Laboratory Services (Health, Scientific, Technical, Medical and Clinical): the scope of Managed Service may include (but not limited to) provision of Laboratory, Equipment, Medical Devices, Consumables, Laboratory Information Management System, Quality Assessment and Assurances, Design/Build/Finance the configuration of Laboratory Space, Maintenance and Repair, Storage and/or Distribution, Disposal, decontamination and sterillisation serivces, Laboratory Management Services etc. including acquisition/delivery of any or all elements. The service is for a provision of Managed Service Contract where a chosen provider will cover range of activities related to delivery of service which will include Medical Healthcare Services. The benefit of Managed Service is for the efficient provision of clinical/Medical discipline and not just equipment. The procurement includes the necessity to manage the financial, transitional and operational needs of the service. Local Authories and wider public sector bodies provide services for wider public which includes, Adult and Social Care, Children Welfare Services, Business Support Services, Public Health Services, Care home Services. At times these services are delivered via joined up approach with NHS and other public bodies. Managed Service provision is for a single supplier to provide a service which will manage the facilities via sub-contractors.
