Tender description
The Healthcare Associated Infection Research Group at the University of Leeds is seeking tenders for an anaerobic workstation to enable culture of anaerobic organisms isolated from faecal samples, including but not exclusively Clostridium difficile. Additionally, workspace as well as incubation space is required to enable the anaerobic manipulation of organisms necessary for some typing and antibiotic profiling assays. Anaerobic culture, typing and antibiotic profiling forms a large part of several on-going studies, but the laboratory currently does not have the capacity to deal with the increasing number of samples being processed in current and indeed future studies.
