Tender description

Anglian Water Services Ltd is looking for Grounds Maintenance Services companies to provide planned and ad-hoc services throughout the Anglian Water region. These ground maintenance services are termed, Planned and ad-hoc. Such services as an example but not limited to and may vary throughout the agreement: — planned = grass cutting, hedge cutting, weeding (hand pulling and spraying), edging, — support delivering Health and Safety and Biodiversity site checking and so on. Ad-hoc = tree surgery and maintenance, tree removal, minor fence repairs, bird dropping, Japanese knot weed, ditch maintenance and other miscellaneous activities on an ad-hoc basis. The Anglian Water region stretches from the Humber, North of Grimsby, to the Thames estuary and then from Buckingham to Lowestoft on the East coast. We envisage splitting our geographical area into 4 lots for participants to bid for and these will be North, South and East and West; with optional extra Rutland Region. These areas will be determined during the tender process. The minimum service requirements and demonstrating experience in: — Quality Standards, especially in management of cross contamination; — Robust Health and Safety practice and processes (OHSAS 18001 or Achilles Verify B or equivalent); — effectively operating security sensitive locations; — biodiversity management and development; — waste removal certification; — managing similarly sized multi sited services with effective and accurate site visit capturing; — performance reporting capabilities for site On-Time In Full (OTIF). Note: [a] that the number of sites included may vary throughout the term of the agreement, [b] that Anglian Water is a utilities company and regulated by an external industry body. As such the scope detailed, due to compliance directives, may increase or decrease as a result of industry regulatory change imposed to the business which may impact the business operation/structure/function, [c] we reserve the right to award the lots to single or multiple suppliers; which ever is the most economically advantageous. Spend break down: the annual spend for this work is estimated and anticipated to be between 2 000 000 GBP - 2 400 000 GBP; an 8-year total contract length expressed as 3 years plus 1 5-year extension, presenting an estimated framework value in the range of 16 000 000 GBP - 20 000 000 GBP. The annual spend split across the lots is estimated as Lot 1 North Region Services 400 000 GBP - 480 000 GBP per year; Lot 2 South and East Region Services 1 060 000 GBP - 1 272 000 GBP per year; Lot 3 West Region Services 540 000 GBP - 648 000 GBP per year; Lot 4 Optional Extra Services Rutland, 120 000 GBP - 180 000 GBP per year.
