C0231 - Foster Care Framework - AWARD

Tender description

Birmingham City Council invites you to tender for a framework contract for the provision of foster care services by independent fostering agencies. This will be on a framework contract with Birmingham City Council, with the ability for the following local Authorities to be able to call off from the framework: Coventry City Council, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Herefordshire Council, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Shropshire Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-On-Trent City Council, Borough of Telford and Wrekin , Walsall Council, Warwickshire County Council, Wolverhampton City Council and Worcestershire County Council. The framework will commence on 4th April 2016 for a period of two years with an option to extend further for up to two years. Based on current data sourced from the above named local authorities, it is anticipated that the activity under this proposed framework will be: • Around 1700 new placements each year • Circa £110 million pound spend each year
