Tender description

Public Health England (PHE) are tendering for the service(s) from (a) provider(s) to supply anonymised (non- patient identifiable) general practice consultation data in near real-time. These data will enable PHE to undertake national morbidity surveillance to: assist in the management of health protection incidents; alert to changes in incidence of disease or syndromes and to further investigate such changes; analyse data to provide information for action in pursuance of a stated and legitimate public health goal (e.g. to evaluate the potential introduction of a new vaccine programme, to assess the severity of a new influenza strain). The aim of this tender is to achieve the highest possible population coverage across the UK from a single supplier or multiple suppliers of anonymised general practice consultation data.
