Synthesis of an artificial oral fluid matrix

1 Overview 1.1 A requirement has arisen for an artificial oral fluid to be synthesized. The artificial oral fluid will be bespoke, and must be synthesized according to the composition given in Table 1 of the Appendix. 1.2 Once synthesised the artificial oral fluid must then be used as a matrix for the preparation, validation and supply of a series of defined standard solutions which will be used in the development and evaluation of drug testing technologies. 1.3 Solutions with mixtures of controlled substances and single uncontrolled substances are required. The compositions of the solutions are given in Tables 2 to 3 in the Appendix. 1.4 Solutions are required on a call off basis over a 24 month period. Therefore, it is anticipated that the overall value of the contract detailed on this notice is for a 24 month period. 1.5 Deadline for queries on this notice is 13th April 2016 by 17:00hrs.
