Market Engagement Event: Care and Support in Extra Care Housing Schemes

Following the Market Engagement Event on the 26th April 2016 (referred to in the notice below) SCC has now uploaded the presentation and notes from the event. Please see attachments for details. Somerset County Council (SCC) is seeking interest from organisations that would like to provide a care and support service(s) across 22 Extra Care Housing Schemes in Somerset. The service will include the provision of a 24 hour 7 days a week support service with the capacity to deliver incidental care in an emergency at any time to all Extra Care Housing tenants. The service will also have the capacity to provide packages of care for those with assessed needs. Market Engagement Event – 26th April 2016 SCC is holding a market engagement event on Tuesday 26th April 2016 and is inviting organisations that might consider taking part in this process. It is hoped that the event will enable a useful dialogue between SCC and any interested organisations on aspects of the service prior to the intended launch of the procurement process in the Spring of 2016. Due to the venue size, we ask that no more than two representatives attend from each organisation. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by the Council to undertake a procurement procedure.
