Tender description

Langford Veterinary Services are looking to procure a 1,5 Tesla static site MRI unit preferably optimised for small animal imaging. The scanner will be a static unit but should be enclosed in a self-contained/prefabricated structure that will standalone from the main hospital. The Tesla Unit will require only power to be provided to operate the scanner, but should include sufficient space to allow for induction of anaesthesia for patients about to undergo MRI scanning and incorporate all of the plant equipment required by the MRI unit itself. The unit should include the provision to image the spine, brain, body and distal limbs and should include the coils required to image these body parts. The scanner will be operated on a rental basis for a minimum period of 5 years.
