Tender description

Liverpool City Council is seeking to commission suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide Telecare Services. This Contract is part of the Healthy Liverpool Digital Care and Innovation strand to drive towards integrated services and the need to deliver social care in innovative ways to meet the growing needs of the ageing population. The Contractor will deliver the supply, installation, recovery and recycling, emergency and routine maintenance, monitoring and both physical and telephone response for Telecare. The commissioners recognise that this combination of Telecare expertise and local home response experience is unlikely to be found within 1 organisation and welcome bids from consortia or subcontract arrangements. Whilst this will be a distinct service it will be part of the wider prevention of the Healthy Liverpool Programme the new service will continue to complement existing services that support people to remain in the community. The Commissioners are very ambitious in their expectation that the people of Liverpool will have the best Telecare service available. This will include the introduction of the latest technologies. The Contractor will provide a service for up to 1 000 new service users per annum and also take over the support of about 1 700 existing Liverpool City Council Telecare service users and 800 Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group (LCCG) fall detector users.
