Tender description

The equipment will be used for manufacturing components and test pieces for various research projects within the AFRC's laboratories. The major purpose for this piece of equipment is to support scientific research and industrial projects undertaken by the AFRC by cutting and preparing different types of test pieces made from various types of materials ranging from nickel based super-alloys, titanium alloys, aluminium alloys, magnesium alloys to austenitic stainless steels, tool steels and other temper hardened steels. The system will be used in a non-production environment, for samples with various geometries and sizes to high level of accuracy to meet our requirements, and the requirements of our external customers.
