Tender description

The Better Queensway project includes property and infrastructure projects that will transform app. 4-5 ha site in Southend Town Centre next to the mainline station to Liverpool St and 10 min from the water's edge. The plans include the redevelopment of the existing dwellings (mainly in 4 tower blocks) to deliver app. 1 200 units of mixed-tenure of variegated types and a covering over an underpass to reconnect the urban landscape and nearby Southchurch. The high quality housing will be constructed alongside further transport, community, education, commercial property and public realm improvements on the site. Southend Borough Council are inviting potential development and/or investment parties to a soft-market testing event on 10.5.2016 from 13:30 to 17:00 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend SS2 6ER.
