Building alteration work

Tender description

Bield is looking to enter into a Framework Agreement with a number of contractors who are capable of providing stage 3 medical adaptations to Bield properties throughout Scotland. Our intention is to appoint a total of 3 contractors onto the Framework Agreement, we reserve the right to reduce or increase this number depending on the geographical coverage offered by bidding contractors. The Framework Agreement will not be ranked and work will be allocated in work stages as tenant needs arise. Work will be allocated depending on the most suitable contractor available to carry out the works at that time in terms of quality, price, geographical coverage, availability and lead time. Our intention is to award the Framework Agreement for a period of 3 years from 1.5.2016 to 30.4.2019, with the option to extend by up to a further 12 months in total. The decision on whether to use the extension option available will be at our discretion and will be based on a number of factors including performance, budget availability and market conditions at the time. The approximate annual value of the contract is 485 000 GBP, this is based on an average of the previous 3 years however the level of orders in each financial year can fluctuate very significantly. The level of orders in each financial year will be dependent on funding amounts available to Bield. Funding is applied for twice yearly and there is no guarantee that funding applications will be successful.
