Tender description

South Lanarkshire Council invites offers from suitably qualified contractors for the provision of a comprehensive Chemical Analytical and Bacteriological Examination service for the Environmental Health and Trading Standards functions. This contract is being led by the Council’s Environmental Services Section. Fleet and Environmental Services carry out both proactive and reactive scientific analysis and bacteriological examination of a wide range of food, drinking water and certain environmental samples on behalf of the Council. The successful Contractor must be able to provide the full range of services detailed in the Specification. This is a mandatory requirement in the Qualification envelope. The contract will have a Council only option to terminate early without penalty, on giving 12 months notice. The Contract that will be awarded from this Tender will be for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for up to 24 months after the expiry of the initial term subject to availability of funding and satisfactory performance. It is anticipated that the Contact will commence on 1.7.2016. Note: The buyer is using PCS-Tender to carry out this procurement process.
