Supply of Electrical Materials

Tender description

The contract is for the supply a range of electrical materials required to meet the needs of the Corporate Property DSO’s Electrical Engineering Operatives and all other Council Departments who may wish to call off the contract. To complete our activities operatives and engineers work in the North, South, East and West of the County of Derbyshire, so it is essential that they have easy access to materials as locally as possible to complete all planned maintenance or responsive repairs. The materials need to be available by delivery or collection at the right time and easily accessible to provide efficiency time savings for engineers In addition Corporate Property is continuously looking for new business opportunities which could lead its operations outside the County boundaries of Derbyshire into the City of Derby, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire. This may mean that materials will need to be supplied to locations in these areas. The successful supplier may be required to assist with the design, support and specification of materials. Potential suppliers will be required to demonstrate their commitment to resource the demands of the contract. The contract agreement is designed to provide one approved contractor for the period of Contract – 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2018 with an option to extend for up to two further periods of one year each subject to a performance review at the end of years 2 and 3 as detailed below.
