Repair and maintenance services of ships

Tender description

The Communications and Situational Awareness (CSA) section, within the Maritime Combat Systems Team has a potential requirement for provision of in-service support to ships protective systems. Ships Protective Systems is a new contract combining the in-service support requirements for Cathodic Protection (CP), Degaussing Control (DGC), and Shaft Grounding (SG) systems (both active and passive) currently fitted to a number of in service MOD platforms, with scope to include future platforms including the Queen Elizabeth Class. The contractor may be required to provide, for example, the following services: — In service support (including obsolescence management, document management, post design services etc.); — Provision of spares; — Repair services. It is anticipated that the support contract will be for awarded in FY 16/17, for a period of up to 5 years, with an option to extend up to 7 years. This PIN is to alert the market to the potential future requirement and is not a formal request for Expressions of Interest (EOI). A Contract Notice and Dynamic PQQ shall be issued in due course to request EOIs which shall reference this PIN.
