Tender description

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is looking to appoint a Garage to provide the Servicing, Maintenance and MOT Tests of its Fleet Vehicles (currently 102 vehicles). The requirement is for a regular appointment system for both MOT Tests, servicing, safety checks, 24 hr accident/breakdown attendance and recovery, Ad-hoc Repairs and Maintenance, together with spot checks for emission testing and emergency work including 24 hour breakdown repairs/recovery of vehicles should the need arise. The successful provider will also become the Council’s recommended Garage, to all the Council staff. Although volumes cannot be guaranteed, this could potentially equate to an additional 700 vehicles to the contract through the inclusion of staff personal cars.
