Day opportunities for adults who have a learning disability and autism. High level of service that is complex to support the needs and well being of the service users. The Day Opportunity Service offers a day time base within the community providing a stimulating, flexible and personalised approach to community ‘day-care’, supporting individuals that have a high level of dependence, some of whom require a high ratio of staff support in order to access the service and benefit from engagement in the community. The purpose of this service is to provide opportunities for adults who are known to the Learning Disability Team with a day time opportunity service that is flexible enough to provide an appropriate, stimulating and person centred approach to engagement within the local community. The adapted base within the community, will support that individuals to thrive on new opportunities within their community, such as leisure, recreation and education.
